A group of Los Angeles–area Uber drivers has teamed up with Teamsters Local 986.

This kind of boldness is what every UBER driver needs to do.  We need to be talking to each other, we need to get organized and we need to stand together.  I said it before and I'll say it again "without the drivers UBER just has an application".  

The teamsters really have to get a handle on the UBER situation because it's a matter of time before UBER and company enter the package delivery business and displace all of the UPS, Federal Express, DHL and Postal Carriers and drivers.  UBER will be testing this capability very soon!

A group of Los Angeles–area Uber drivers has teamed up with Teamsters Local 986. The affiliation doesn't mean the drivers are unionizing. At this point, they couldn't do so if they wanted to because they are not technically employees. But Joseph DeWolf Sandoval, a member of the California App-Based Drivers’ Association (CADA) leadership counsel, says that could change if future court challenges are successful.
